Canine Assisted Therapy, Inc. (C.A.T.) (www.catdogs.org) headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization which provides certification and placement of therapy dogs and their handlers into nursing homes, hospitals, group homes, schools and where there is a need for the companionship of a dog.
The testing will take place at Independence Hall Retirement Community, Activity Room at 1639 Northeast 26th Street in the city of Wilton Manors, FL. On Saturday, June 12, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM the minimal fee is .00; fees are non-refundable. (The fee is applied to the membership fee if you sign up for membership on the day of testing)
C.A.T. Dog Temperament and Personality testing is designed to determine if your dog has what it takes for therapy work.

There will be an Orientation presentation which will take approximately 45 minutes prior to the testing. The test will take 20 - 30 minutes to complete.
A copy of the dog’s current shot records prior to being admitted in to Independence Hall for testing. Please bring the shot records with you to the testing, or fax them to us at 1-888-441-5614.
C.A.T. is distinguishable from other pet therapy organizations because of the extensive testing of the dogs to insure proper temperament for therapy work, placement of volunteers in facilities, and overall support of volunteers.
